  • Need for Speed Unbound will get new content in the spirit of previous instalments. The second year of Criterion’s support for the game

Electronic Arts has made another attempt to get the Need for Speed franchise back on track. With Criterion Games’ NFS Unbound, the project began to resemble Fortnite in terms of graphics and was heavily criticised at the trailer release stage.

However, at release Need for Speed Unbound was enjoyed by many. The game didn’t become a huge hit, but still gathered a certain audience. As it turned out, the story of the project will not end on the first year of support.

Criterion Games announced the second year of Need for Speed Unbound support: four content packs are expected to be released, the first one should be released by the end of April.

Each such set for NFS Unbound will offer at least one main game mode, as well as a couple of car models with deep customisation options.

As stated, the follow-up sets Drift & Drag and Cops vs. Racers will be inspired by NFS Underground and NFS Hot Pursuit respectively.

For Need for Speed Unbound will not only release sets with content, various events, challenges, progression updates, improvements and patches are expected too announced.

The data collected by Need for Speed Unbound developers during the second year of support is expected to determine how to further develop the series.

Super stoked for the new content packs! Drift & Drag sounds like a throwback to the NFS Underground days. Can't wait! 🚗💨

Deep customization options are exactly what I've been looking for. It's about time we got more ways to tweak our rides in Unbound.
