Stellar Blade will be released on 26 April, but Korean company Shift Up is already thinking about a future in which it will have the opportunity to work on a sequel, according to CEO Hyung-Tae Kim.
In an interview with Famitsu, Kim was asked about the ages of Stellar Blade’s characters, who he said are all adults, but that question will probably only be answered in Stellar Blade 2, suggesting that there is already an idea for a second game.
“She’s not exactly young. Asians around the world often look younger than their real age, and we took that into account when developing ,” Kim said when asked about the decision to make Eva and Lily so young.
“All the characters are adults, so they might even be older than you think.”
When asked if the ages of the characters in the game could be revealed, Kim said:
“Maybe it will be revealed in the next work,” which prompted Famitsu to ask if he was talking about a sequel in the form of a new game, prompting an even more curious response.
“Yes. So if you’re worried about their age, please play the first Stellar Blade many times, have fun, and find out the answer in the next game ,” Kim replied, and then laughed.
It seems to suggest that if Stellar Blade becomes successful, Shift Up could be working on a sequel.
